2011 Grand Marshal - Bill Lamb of WDRB
Bill Lamb is the President and General Manager of WDRB, Fox 41 and WMYO, channel 58 in Louisville. His management style is one of innovation and calculated risk taking. In June 2002, WDRB, Fox 41 became the first Louisville station in decades to air Editorials with Point of View. In 2007 Fox 41 televised the first all High Definition broadcast in Louisville television history with Thunder Over Louisville.
In late 2007, Bill was asked to provide oversight to all nine of the television stations owned by Block Communications.
Lamb began his broadcasting career as a disk jockey at a radio station in Flint, Mich. in the early 70’s while still in high school and continued through college. In 1980 he moved to television and has worked at television stations in Nashville, Birmingham, Peoria, and Miami, Florida.
Bill is quite involved in Kentucky and the Louisville community serving on eight Board of Directors.
